About me:
When I was in my late twenties, I started taking yoga at a gym near work. I went to class every week, and although I loved the movement and breath work, I felt something was missing. I could never achieve that blissful state of relaxation during savasana. While trying to relax my thoughts would wander to what happened during the day or my to-do list.
In search of that blissful state, I explored various styles-Hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, gentle yoga, and Bikram yoga-but none brought that peace of mind I craved. That changed when a friend introduced me to Kundalini Yoga. The class was unlike anything I've ever experienced, but afterward I felt such a release of emotions that I knew I had to go back. One day, while in savasana, I finally felt that deep state of relaxation and stillness in my mind. That's when I got hooked! Over the past 25 years, this practice has helped me deal with daily stress and some of my most challenging life situations.
I've had the privilege of training with incredible teachers and I continue to study the vast body of yoga teachings. I am passionate about sharing Kundalini Yoga with others and integrating my knowledge of the chakras, Ayurveda, energy healing, mudras, and meridian systems based on Traditional Chinese Medicine into my classes. My approach is to foster a holistic experience for my students so they can live a more balanced, joyous life.
